Mubarak officially accused in Egypt

On 03.08.2011, Hosni Mubarak, the former president of Egypt was accused by a prosecutor in court of involvement in the killing of protesters and allowing his interior minister to use live ammunition against them. Documents presented to the court show that Mubarak had the intention to kill peaceful protesters in different regions of the country and was involved in corruption activities.
Hosni Mubarak, laying in a cage with perfusion, and his two sons, Gamal and Alaa, with copies of the Muslim holy book the Korandenied in their hands denied charges.
The court would reconvene to hear the case of the former president on Aug. 15. In the mean time the toppled leader would be moved to a hospital near Cairo. Judge Ahmed Refaat also ordered that Mubarak and others involved would be required to attend the next session.
Former interior minister of Egypt, Habib al-Adli, who followed Hosni Mubarak orders to kill demonstrators may face execution.
